Sorry, meant to add that they found the wreckage (currently recovering the wreckage of the aircraft) but as per title, air man still missing.
Weather conditions for Humber and Dogger, are sea condition, slight to becoming mainly smooth, visibility, moderate occasionally very poor. As of midday today.

There was an article in the Military Times back in 2014 where the emergency beacon in the seat failed, up to nine times at that point.
The sea state is good for the area the wreckage was located but visibility may also be a factor as of midday it was foggy at times.

Terrible. Sounds like something that multiple things had to go wrong for to happen.

Clear skies and fair winds airman.

Visibility may of been a big factor.

Well it wasn’t for trying to find him sooner.
Just the RAF alone had quite a few aircraft up looking.
Given how foggy it was, having so many aircraft in one area must of been stressful.
